Started running again in 2010 after a 20yr layoff to help get from 235lbs back to 160lbs and it became a passion. I am a professor at the University of North Dakota and have a Ph.D. in Exercise Science so I put it to work training for marathons leading to a 3:08 finish at Boston 2013. I'm involved with the Red River Runners in Grand Forks designing the training plans for all levels of ability and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the sport with anyone interested.
